Jujutsu Kaisen, Volume 7 Review

In a world where cursed spirits feed on unsuspecting humans, fragments of the legendary and feared demon Ryomen Sukuna were lost and scattered about. Should any demon consume Sukuna’s body parts, the power they gain could destroy the world as we know it. Fortunately, there exists a mysterious school of Jujutsu Sorcerers who exist to protect the precarious existence of the living from the supernatural!

Despite the injuries and losses they suffered in an attack on the Goodwill Event, the students of Jujutsu High have little time rest as people start dying under mysterious circumstances. Could these strange deaths have anything to do with Sukuna's lost fingers?

REVIEW

I adore the trio and everything about them!

I love the contrasting personality — how there’s a joker, a serious person, and one that is on the middle ground.

The way Akutami-sensei laid out these three characters that compliments each other very well is just fantastic!!!

This volume was insane. It slapped us with the knowledge that these people aren’t just ordinary sorcerers. They are prodigies! The amount of fighting and how the characters are thrown in a situation wherein they must exhaust their powers or die surely brought out an unexpected turn of events. Despite the expectations that these characters will, for sure, be powerful given that they are the main cast, I still cannot fathom how amazed I was with the progression of the story.

Another brilliant combination of humour and gritty action sequences, Akutami-sensei really does not fail to showcase his personality within the pages of this book. I am impressed that he never forgets to make us laugh regardless of how serious the situations are. That good blend of comic and weighty moments really is a breath of fresh air.
