Cradle Series by Will Wight
This is technically not a “purchase,” considering I got the entire series for free from Amazon Kindle. Regardless, the button did not just say “download” but “buy.” So, cheating as it may, it is on the list!
I have heard this series from Hamad of The Book Prescription. And upon doing a little bit of research myself (mainly skimming through reviews), I have come to conclude that I will highly enjoy this series. I mean, Naruto vibes? Count me in! Naruto’s basically my childhood!
The Extraordinaries by TJ Klune
By this second novel, it may become obvious what the similarities between this “purchases” are so I am going to point it out. They are all either procured for free or purchased for a discounted rate. And yes, I was able to obtain this novel for $3.49 from Kobo.
‘The Extraordinaries’ hasn’t been on my radar for a long time. It’s a fairly new book, after all. However, my recent reading of Klune’s ‘The House in the Cerulean Sea‘ made me want to try more of his works. In addition, the title of this book kinda reminds me of V. E. Schwab’s ‘Vicious’ so I needed to get it.
The Empress of Salt and Fortune by Nghi Vo
Probably the only exception from this list of on sale and free purchases.
‘The Empress of Salt and Fortune’ has been on my radar since its release. Aside from being such a short and quick read, it’s written by an Asian author! So, of course, it’s only necessary that I purchase it, no?
Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
As I have recently finished and loved ‘Malibu Rising,’ it is only natural that I am ecstatic to try Reid’s other works. And what did you know? I was emailed by Kobo of another sale in the form of this book!
Sistersong by Lucy Holland
One of my lucky Kobo 90% discount code!
A highly rated Goodreads fantasy novel, I wasn’t particularly sure of it at first—due to being a part of Kobo’s VIP membership list (not that I am saying that the list offers bad books, I’m just skeptical). In my surprise, this book was actually published by Tom Doherty Associates! Aside from being a standalone, my strong faith with the publisher renewed my drive with reading this book!

I just read Klune’s The House in the Cerulean Sea as a buddy read and loved it! I was thinking about picking up his The Extraordinaries as well 🙂
Wasn’t it just delightful? The harsh tone of the novel has been well placed together with the warm characters!
I’ve been looking at getting Sistersong, such a beautiful book!
I hope you get to it! I haven’t read it myself, but it definitely sounds fascinating.
Thanks for sharing your book haul! Definitely have to give The Empress of Salt and Fortune a chance once I can.
Yeah! It’s really short that’s why I wanted to give it a try as well! 🙂
