REVIEW
The main point that I appreciate in this volume is the amount of care Akutami-sensei places towards his villains. He gives them such depth that it’s difficult not to root for any one of them.
Of course, he doesn’t neglect his protagonists as well!
The way he weaves both stories into place makes it such a natural thing that the two [hero & villain] exists. It dawns on you that there really isn’t a perfect society as well. One is bound to test the credibility of the ideologies of the current situation and, eventually, shakes the foundation of what is believed to be right, exposing pretty dark secrets.
I absolutely enjoy this volume. The flashback arc gave a more interesting perspective to the characters. It led us to see their motives and the tipping point, the reason, as to why and how they became who they are.
