Top 5 Wednesday: Kind Characters

Can you believe that it's already the third week of February? It's surreal to see the month pass in such a swift speed. Thankfully, I am able to write something for this week's Top 5 Wednesday prompt — Kind Characters. In this post, I will include some of the characters in book/s I have just recently read and some that I've read for quite some time ago that I believe are kind-hearted characters. Who's a kind character that you like? Leave them in the comments! :)

Sydney Clarke

Vicious can be such a controversial inclusion in this list considering how most of the characters in this book are morally neutral or can be perceived as a villain, but I do believe that everyone has a good and a bad side and that makes everybody kind—just not equally so. However, I do believe that Sydney is an exemption in this book. She is a child and her purity makes her perceive the world differently.

August Pullman

Anyone who’s read and watched Wonder knows that August Pullman is such a sweetheart. He’s a kid that you’ll do everything to protect and you’ll even defend him in such a kind way so as not to offend the child’s thoughtful personality.

Linus Baker

Linus Baker, wow, how innocent this man is.

When I read The House in the Cerulean Sea I can only but imagine Linus to be such a gullible man. His kindheartedness to be a form of naivety. But after a while, he easily clung to me like a leech when walking in a pond (if there are even leeches in ponds).

The Weirdies Adoptiver Parent

It is a funny thing how I cannot seem to recall the Weirdies’ adoptive parent’s name yet still know her from her kindness.

She, at first, was clouded by the judgmental nature of being a thespian, but her true essence slowly seeped out of her in the progression of the story and I instantly fell in love with her.

A completely understanding and welcoming woman, she and this story is definitely a worthy pick when you just want something light to distract you from your day-to-day stress.

Nicholas Nelson

In all honest, I wanted to put both Charlie and Nick in here but thought it as cheating to put two characters in one number. So, as you can see, I picked Nick instead.

Nick is such an appreciative and honest man that you just want to give him a huge hug. Add this to his charm and I’ll instantly want to date him if he was a living, breathing man.
