Ce soir c’est moi le chef Review

Ce soir c’est moi le chef !, c’est Alice au pays des Merveilles, mais sans lapin blanc (et avec des pédés).

Review

It is with great shock to discover that this book was not entirely innocent at all.

Just by looking at the cover and use of art style, this book felt like something fluffy, funny, and cute. And although that was true, it was also surreal to have found that the entirety of the story revolved around a crazy simple plot with plenty of sex and dick.

The art style was undeniably endearing and reminiscent to, perhaps, most of the queer manga I have read and loved. Which, to my shock, is why it still surprised me that the contents were mature. This definitely attested to my starting of books without any prior idea of what it is about aside from just purchasing it under a whim or fascination with the cover or title.

If you are looking into something with a deep plot, then this is not going to work out for you. Unless, of course, I am too stupid to understand that there was, indeed, a depth to the story. But, no. At least, for now, I am sure that it doesn’t. The story is pretty straight forward and it’s something to read if you’re just looking to get a light read that is adorably funny.

Overall, Ce soir c’est moi le chef delivered an effective distraction within its pages — especially, if like me, you get to be flabbergasted by the unexpected contents of the book (although that wouldn’t be the case for you if you’re reading this review before reading the book). It was funny and interesting, without not much going on aside from the fast-paced, long journey towards the point where the character eventually reached the story’s climax.
